Magny-Cours was quite a tough race but all our cars managed to finish the race. Dewald Nel had a good fight all race long and managed to finish 2nd with only a few 100's of a second after 1st place.
Riaan Lamprecht managed to race through the field after going off track and finished 3rd.
Tiens van Zyl finished 9th in the points and Gert Snyman managed 10th to also score points for ERR. Marius Schoeman who joined Enigma on Friday finished 11th in his first IRON League race.
Dewald Nel is still leading the championship with Riaan Lamprecht a close 2nd. Team Excalibur is leading the team championship with a healthy lead. Eclipse and Enigma is sharing 7th position in the team championship.
Congratulations to Riaan Lamprecht for taking the win at Imola! Dewald Nel came a close 2nd and pushed Excalibur's constructors point even further from the team behind them.
Gert Snyman also managed to score points at Imola.
Tiens van Zyl killed his engine for fear of overheating when going off at the last chicane and could not manage to get it started again and received a DNF.
Deald Nel is still leading the Championship with 44 points and Riaan Lamprecht 2nd with 31 points.
Team Excalibur is leading the Constructors Championship with 75 points ahead of Pirates SimRacing from Portugal with 47 points.
Keep flying the South African flag high boys you are making all of us at ERR very proud.
Dewald Nel won the first Iron F. Reiza league race at Catalunya. Riaan, Tiens and Gert managed to stay in the points.

Today marks the start of the IRoN Formula Reiza League.
All 3 teams are set and ready for the first race at Catalunya and with the practice race it looks like Team Excalibur could be taking a podium tonight if all goes well.
Teams Eclipse and Enigma could also be in the points but we will all need to stay calm, focussed and collected and not let the first race jitters get to us.

Things are starting to shape up now for the Formula Reiza - Iron League
Practice sessions are in full swing and all 3 teams are ready to start the first race on the Catalunya circuit.

Please also ensure that you register there so the the GPCOS system can retrieve the race data for the league. You need to also apply for your respective team on the GPCOS system.

We'd like to welcome Gert (G-Man) Snyman to the team. He will be racing with Albert in the ERR - Eclipse team.
ERR also entered both teams into the I Race Online . com Formula Reiza League starting in November.
What an Endurance race last night. The RD World Endurance Series race lasted a whole 2.5 hours.
Tiens qualified 6th and finished 4th with being the 2nd GTR over all.
After 4 spins and going in to the pits twice for repairs he kept a level head and brought the car home safely in 4th.
The Race Department World Endurance Series is almost on it's way. 10 minutes left in practice then it will be Qualification and Race time.
This is going to be a hard but epic race as we will start in daylight and end at night.
Tonight we race Game Stock Car 2012 with the F1 Classics on the Londrina track. Tiens' pace is off with 3 seconds in practice but anything can happen in the race.
Keeping an average pace and the car on the road will be key tonight. Let's hope Mo makes an early come back to Sim racing.
Formula Reiza at Brasilia was a lot of fun and a huge thumbs up to all the drivers for the clean racing.
Tiens qualified 8th and finished 5th.
The Mini race was exciting!
Format of the race was qualification results will be used as starting grid then race two will have a reversed grid. In other words if you finish last in race one you will start on pole in race 2.
This ensures exciting close racing but also problems with the fast guys trying to get through the field as quickly as possible to get into the points range.
Race 1 for ERR was pretty uneventful with Tiens having a few battles in the beginning of the race only.
Race 2 on the other hand was a different matter. Tiens was rear ended before turn two and went off the track. He then slowly pushed hid way up the field as far as he could.

Mini Race at Taruma tonight (Game Stock Car 2012)
Tiens will be representing ERR tonight in GSC 2012 with the RD Clubrace - Mini's at taruma. 2x races of 25 minutes each.
Mo and Tiens also confirmed to race the 100 Laps at Sebring Endurance race in rFactor 2 in October. Practicing for the race is in full swing.
What a race at Brianza 10K last night. The first start was chaos as some of the GTR's spun into other cars because of the sheer power these cars put out on the back wheels.
A restart was called and all cars made it safely down the straight and first corner.
Mo Kader qualified very well and was with the leaders when two cars came together on turn 3 which split the field a bit. For a few laps Mo and Tiens where in 4th and 5th place with Albert not far behind.
Bad luck struck as Mo spun out and had to go to the pits to repair when his car switched off and he could not get it started again. Albert also spent some time in the pits and could not finish the race.
Nursing the car and trying not to hit barriers was a good strategy as Tiens ended up in 3rd and later 2nd. The car in first position spun out and damged his GTR so badly that he had to get to the pits. This helped Tiens take the win. Although Tiens did not have the pace of the front runners, keeping the car out of trouble helped with the win.

We would like to welcome Albert Muller to East Rand Racing. Albert will be filling a seat as reserve driver for ERR - Enigma and permanent driver for ERR - Eclipse
Tiens took 2nd place in the RD Club race this past Saturday. After spinning twice he managed to keep 2nd place till the end of the race at Snetterton with the Megane.
Tiens takes his first Podium finish in the Race Department F1 2011 Monday Night Club League.
